At the ink formulation unit of Hoodis Pars Printing and Packaging Complex, offset printing inks are produced based on the Pantone standard. This standardized color system enables the production of precise and consistent colors throughout all printing stages. Using Pantone inks allows the creation of colors that cannot be achieved within the CMYK color system, such as fluorescent, metallic, and specific brand colors.
The main advantage of using Pantone colors over the CMYK system is that CMYK relies on the combination of four primary colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black), which limits the ability to achieve specific and exact colors. In contrast, Pantone, with its wide range of pre-mixed colors, allows for the production of precise and unique colors without the need for complex color mixing. This ensures that colors remain consistent across all printing stages and distribution points, and that any production batch or repeated printing shows minimal color variation.
Using advanced tools and specialized software, ink consumption is calculated based on the printing area and the type of ink, whether PANTONE or CMYK. The printing presses in this facility are equipped with CIP3 systems and color management tools that monitor Color Bars, automatically tracking grayscale, color balance, and ink density throughout the printing process. These bars allow us to maintain color consistency and accuracy across the entire print run while minimizing human error.
All project data, including complete ink specifications, reflectance curves, and color values, are archived so that color reproduction in future prints can be achieved with maximum precision and consistency.
